suanning. again.
hi peeps. it seems that i have to return to a rather old topic again.

*ahem*

[rant]

ok. the recent ccts are over, and we have our results back. and with the reception of any sort of marks/results/POINTS/awards/certs/whatever there will be some people who do badly, and some who do well. that is perfectly alright, IMO. however, there are some idiots who think that they're so great, that what they have achieved is such a BIG deal, that they have to go around shoving it in other people's faces. let's quote from some of my yesterday experiences. my thoughts will be added in brackets.

"Oi! (Idiot can't even manage to say a simple "hello".) I (emphasis on "I".) just got a certain amount of marks/results/POINTS/awards/certs/whatever. how much did you get?"

the conversation usually continues in either one of 2 directions after this.

1) "i... err... got less than that. *says number of marks/results/POINTS/awards/certs/whatever.let this number be x.*"

"haha. i owned you! i got *insert number > x*. (And i care because...?. all it does is give you a nice looking A+/ non-significant award for a certain non-classroom subject.) stupid noob."

the person then goes on and on about his previous results and how he expects to get his desired amount this year. and how i'll probably lose out to him. blah blah blah. usually at this point i walk away/dao him.

OR

2) "i got more than you. *says x amount of marks*. yay."

"walau eh. mugger. (he stops to think of a smart comeback. he fails.) how much did you get last year for this?"

"err... *says y amount of marks.*"

"lol. i owned you. stupid noob." (again, he goes in a large round to shoot me again. oh puh-lease.)

worse of all, all of his answers are done in an irritating nasal-like voice. doesn't help the situation alot, does it?

still dunno why people act like that; showing off their "greatness" to others. i guess it's to feed their bloated egos, which are probably even larger than i am. and that is not good, in case you stupidly think it is. and in case your oh-so-smart brain hasn't realised yet, people don't like it. it pisses them off. you might be the only one standing there like an asshole shooting your mouth off to people who are not very interested. people don't criticise you in front of others because they are giving you face/or you have skin thicker than elephants'.

also, doing that makes you look like you have an AP/PMS/both. laugh at other's problems, and no one will care when you bitch to them about your problems/achievements. it's not good socially to be a selfish bastard with a fucked up attitude.

ok. i look really heartless now. i shall now redeem myself. i do admire/envy those who do better than me. i take it as some sort of challenge to beat them next time. and when i do, i don't rub salt in their wounds.

humility is a virtue. learn it. it'll bring you far.

sorry for the excessive sharpness of tounge here. oops.

P.S: I did not explicitly implicate/mention/arrow/sabo/etc. ANYONE on this post. everything you read is up to YOUR OWN interpretation. so if you come up to me saying i suanned you with this, you are an idiot with an insecure mind.

P.S.S: Sorry about the vulgarities as well. i couldn't control myself.

[/rant]

on a happier note, i passed piano grade 6 with merit (124/150). this is like the first time i got merit! other times were just plain pass. *celebrates*

Till next post...
